Your Wedding Day...Your Photographs

Sean enjoys photographing weddings and his sensibility for creating simple, stylish and contemporary images has resulted in a wide and diverse portfolio of wedding commissions. Sean considers himself a documentary artist, capturing the details that make your wedding yours. Sean has worked on traditional white weddings, alternative humanist and retro style weddings, and was commissioned to photograph a dual Indian wedding in The Sage, Gateshead, one of the biggest North East weddings of the year.

Sean was recently commissioned to photograph the retro and vintage wedding for a roadie of the rock band The Killers. Whether traditional or modern, Sean enjoys being a part of your unique experience, and finding ways to capture that.

Sean will visit your venue and work with you prior to your day to ensure the best results - so he can be efficient and discrete and capture the best images possible. Labelled a digital story teller, Sean never leaves a wedding until he knows the entire narrative is covered, from morning until night. Sean has found that after the first dance the wedding party start to relax and that this is a real golden hour for photographs, in which the real personalities of people start to show.

Whatever the wedding, intimate or extravagant, Sean will capture your day in the way that is best suited to you both.

Wynyard Hall - Emma and Stuart

A wedding so well planned to have it all ... even the sun made it out! An aeroplane, turtle doves and a harpist - I managed to capture every detail of this perfect day.

Mansion House - Becky & Andrew

Andrew and Becky were blessed with a lovely day at Mansion House in Newcastle. A lovely, small and perfectly formed wedding with lots of fun, energy, and a bunch of really good people ... interesting dancing too!

Otterburn Hall - Karen and Max

Late Spring and a carpet of bluebells awaited this relaxed couple.  Although it threatened to rain all day the sun came out for its golden hour and we managed to capture some great images in the grounds of Otterburn Hall.

Rothbury & Alnwick - Kirsty & Stuart

People came from the other side of the world for this wedding at All Saints Church, Rothbury. We got some of the best wedding shots at the back of the White Swan Hotel in Alnwick underneath the lone willow tree and managed to stop enroute at the proposal spot.

Lindisfarne Castle - Jen & Hazel

Pre Wedding Shoot - Brooklyn, New York - Katie & Dan

Ive got to admit, I always get a little excited about pre wedding shoots. Its a really nice way to break the ice and get to know a couple a little more. This time I was twice as excited as the shoot was in Brooklyn,  New York! What a great for it also, absolutily stunning lovely warm day with amazing light. I met Katie and Dan in a cool little bar in the arty brooklyn and after a few drinks and chatting to Dan and Katie I know its was going to be a great shoot. We walked around some really cool areas of Greenpoint, the docks and the Graffitti made for some great backdrops. I was even more excited when Dan pointed out where the set of Martin Scorseies Boardwalk Emprie TV show was located, im a big fan!  A  great day all round, and im am really looking forward to shooting the wedding now.

Pre Wedding Shoot - Newcastle Gateshead - Abraham & Mariana

I had been looking forward to Abraham and Marianas pre wedding shoot. I know it was going to be a fun one! The sun was shining but it was an incredibly windy day for the shoot at the Gateshead Milleniun Bridge. The bridge was a special place for the couple as that was where Abraham Proposed! Dispite the wind, we got some lovely shots along the river side. Im really looking forward to shooting their wedding  in October, especially with the fact both Abraham and Mariana are not original from the UK, I know the wedding day is going to have a distinct international feel with lots of interesting cultural influences. Im not sure exactly what to expect but that part of the fun and much of what  I enjoy about weddings, is that you never know quite what people come up with and I already part of some of the surprises in store on the day.  One thing I am certain of is that is my first Mexican influenced wedding to date!

Pre Wedding Shoot - Tynemouth Beach - Ally & Lucy

Ive said it before but a pre wedding is always are always a good way to get to know a couple before the big day. after 10 mintues shooting I soon realised that Ally was quite a cheeky chap at heart! He certainly had little reservations about about running into the cold North Sea,  even if it did look quite warm! Ally however seemed quite keen to taking his fiance  along with him, there was potential for  leaving Lucy in there at one point seemed like it was on the cards! I think Ally weighed up the risks of a cold and wet fiance and any thoughts of a dunk in the ocean were quickly put to bed!  Im sure Ally wont be anywhere near open water on the wedding day so no worries about a soaked bride! Great shoot, with a lovely couple! We had it all,  rain, rainbows , sea and even managed to get a few rays of glorious spring sunshine! Looking forward to getting the guestbook put together for the big day!

Pre Wedding Shoot - Slayley Hall - Andy & Sueky

Im really looking forward to shooting Andy and Suekeys wedding this year. Its going to be a brilliant two days at both newcastle and Wynyard Hall, without a doubt theres going to be plenty great oppertunites for amazing images. Im also directing and prodcuing the video for this wedding. I love to offer videography alongside my photogrphy as the video is shot in the same phtographic style as my still photography and compliment each other perfectly. I love cinematography as much as i do still, and i love the idea of being able to present still and moving images together.

I suggested bring along a old camera to the pre wedding shoot, its a great way to relax a couple infront of the camera as they can trun it round on meandy and Sueky feel more at ease with the idea of having thier photgrphs taken, the idea was to take pictuires of them taking picture of each other. We had lots of fun that day and the rain held off! I love the qualities of the analouge colour tines and try to suggest these im my image pricessing and editing which i think looks really nice. Weve got to all admit it, we all love retro it has a timeless quality which is exactly what wedding phtography should be like.

Pre Wedding Shoot - Sectret Garden - Wincey & William

What a stunning spring it has been so far, It seems the summer has came early!  For some months I have been thinking about how nice it would be to do a  pre wedding shoot in a blossom tree garden, when the opportunity presented itself I had to but jump right in! I had been scouting for a perfect location for this shoot for weeks and  one afternoon I stumbled across this location and fell in love with it!  I had arranged to meet Wincey and William after work, we didnt have long as the light was dropping fast but the light was exactly what I hope for on a shoot like this. Wincey and William were brilliant,  and are clealry perfectly suited, both very comfortable with each other and  in front of the camera.  A great shoot and Im really look forward to shooting their wedding later this year.
