Sean enjoys photographing weddings and his sensibility for creating simple, stylish and contemporary images has resulted in a wide and diverse portfolio of wedding commissions. Sean considers himself a documentary artist, capturing the details that make your wedding yours. Sean has worked on traditional white weddings, alternative humanist and retro style weddings, and in 2007, was commissioned to photograph a dual Indian wedding in The Sage, Gateshead, one of the biggest North East weddings of the year.
Sean was recently commissioned to photograph the retro and vintage wedding for a roadie of the rock band The Killers. Whether traditional or modern, Sean enjoys being a part of your unique experience, and finding ways to capture that.
Sean will visit your venue and work with you prior to your day to ensure the best results - so he can be efficient and discrete and capture the best images possible. Labelled a digital story teller, Sean never leaves a wedding until he knows the entire narrative is covered, from morning until night. Sean has found that after the first dance the wedding party start to relax and that this is a real golden hour for photographs, in which the real personalities of people start to show.
Whatever the wedding, intimate or extravagant, Sean will capture your day in the way that is best suited to you both.
Sean captures your day as it unfolds - the details, telling moments, unique personalities. It is testament to Sean and his commitment to wedding photography that he can discretely shoot images that are dynamic, fresh, expressive and personal. Sean is often complimented for working beyond what is expected of him. Sean studies trends constantly and, most importantly, understands what a bride and groom want from their photographs. He is at the forefront of the movement to bring style, creativity and art to contemporary wedding photography, which could be dubbed wedding documentary. His approach is different from the average of posed pictures. He is an observer of the wedding, searching for moments that define your day.
Sean is keen to make sure that your day is not taken over by the photographer. Instead he plans ahead, visits the location and is fully prepared for the occasion so as to remain flexible, relaxed and efficient. Sean is approachable and his friendly manner means he gets the best photographs. Sean has up to date digital equipment and his portable lighting studio allows for maximum photographic quality, regardless of location.

Combining a great understanding of the latest technical aspects of photography with a natural creative eye for capturing the absolute best possible photographic opportunities means Sean creates simply stunning photographs. Using only the best available lenses and the latest digital technologies all image quality is unsurpassed. Sean has been gifted with the rare combination of great technical knowledge with fantastic artistic and creative flair. This alone is not enough. Sean can also communicate effectively - the most important tool of any wedding photographer.
In mastering both natural and artificial light, Sean's style becomes unique and dynamic. Using the best quality studio lighting he is always able to present a good balance of natural, reportage style images with the quality glossy magazine style imagery.
