Sean delivers flexible, creative and hands-on photography workshops. Having lectured in both digital photography and digital arts in the North East for 10 years, Sean has an accomplished approach to lecturing, be it on a photography course, a one-day intensive workshop, or on a one-to-one mentoring basis.
Sean often delivers workshops to teams, organisations, schools and individuals alike. He is available for arts based projects as a lead or supplementary artist and regularly works with a number of well respected organisations in and around the North East of England.
Sean uses the latest in digital technologies, so his images offer the optimum in creative possibilites, to the highest technical standard. He is able to produce digital images for clients in both 35mm equivalent and medium format digital with an output of up to 44 mega pixels, with the capability of delivering images to clients in real time. Inhouse retouching expertise means quality is monitored and images are efficiently supplied. Studio space is available for both small and large projects, so any project can be accommodated. Portable studio lighting can be provided and used on location regardless of the availibility of power sources. Sean shoots through L series lenses offering the best image reproduction on the market today.
Sean considers himself an image maker and documentary artist, not simply a photographer. He has made a conscious decision to take on a diverse range of commercial and personal commissions, undertaking a range of work whilst ensuring consistency in style. Sean says There is nothing more gratifying than seizing the moment with your camera. I have a natural shooting style that does not force an image to be made. It is more reactive for me - unless, of course, I am working on commerical, studio-based photography where I am given the variable to interpret.
Sean is at the forefront of the movement to bring style, creativity and art to contemporary and commercial photography in the North East.
After being shortlised down to the final 8 form over 70,000 international photographic entries the 2006 Annual Digital photographer of the year award, which is ran by uk based Digital Camera Magazine saw Sean's entry "Sultry Dunstanbrugh" shortlisted and commended in the the black and whitec atergory.
The " Sultry " feel of the seascape was shot early one november morning, on the beautiful and rugged northumberland coast. The image (in square format) is now available as a signed and framed print in the print gallery of this site.
